1. Overview of development
CTSP Bureau actively attracts investment. By the end of 2023, there were 241 effectively approved manufacturers, and 14 research institutions and breeding centers were introduced. According to statistics, the total investment/capital increase in 2022 and 2023 was NT$ 166.183 billion and NT$ 50.8603 billion respectively.


In 2023, the business turnover of the park reached NT$ 938.396 billion, which was the third highest in the past years, with a decrease of 19.78% compared with NT$ 1,169. 11 billion in 2022, mainly due to the decline in terminal demand of the integrated circuit industry with the highest turnover.
The integrated circuit industry is affected by the global economic environment, and the demand for terminal electronic products is weak. Customers continue to adjust their inventory and adopt more advanced processes, which makes the capacity utilization rate of manufacturers decline, resulting in a 23.40% decline in turnover. However, anufacturers continue to lay out special processes and achieve differentiation through technological diversity to improve the capacity utilization rate. The photoelectric ndustry benefited from the reduction of global panel production capacity supply. Under the improvement of the supply and demand structure, the quotation of TV panels increased, which increased the turnover by 0.11%. In the precision machinery industry, customers are facing the pressure of destocking, and the purchase of equipment is elayed or the capital expenditure is reduced, resulting in a 7.69% decline in turnover. The biotechnology industry benefited from the gradual opening of the market for new drugs and the warming of the contact lens market, with a turnover increase of 15.12%; In addition, the beneficiary manufacturers of computer and its peripheral industries expanded their production capacity and the orders for electric bicycles in the US market increased, with a turnover growth of 21.27%.


2. Employment growth
With the number of CTSP manufacturers growing year by year, the number of employees in December 2022 was 55,295, and the number of employees in December 2023 reached 54,940, an increase of 3.88% compared with 2021. The semiconductor industry accounts for 44.24% of the employment in all industries, followed by the photoelectric industry with 31.17%; According to the distribution of academic qualifications, the proportion of employed people above junior college is as high as 78.77%; By gender, the ratio of male to female is 65.35% and 34.65% respectively.
